Colour plays a large part in the garden and can be calming and soothing or vibrant and invigorating. Hot colours, cool colours: all will dictate the mood not only of the garden but the influence it has on the people it welcomes.

Bright colours will cheer us on a dull day, helping re-inspire us and regain our optimism and enthusiasm or calm ones will soothe and renew.
A garden can provide a refuge, a tranquil and restful environment for one, or a socialising entertainment space for a group. There can be pools, either ornamental or for swimming, herb gardens, wild meadows or bowls lawns: the list is endless.
All things are possible, but all need careful design and planning.
